Anko Mitarashi (みたらしアンコ, Mitarashi Anko?) is the proctor for the second phase of the Chunin Exams. She is also a former student of Orochimaru and was one of the first people to be branded with one of his cursed seals. Since she lacked the lust for power and vengeance needed to fuel the seal, she was never able to effectively utilize it and the seal fell into inactivity. During her time with Orochimaru she learned how to call upon snakes to aid her in battle. In time Anko realized that Orochimaru did not truly care for her and that he saw her only as a tool. As such, she chose to leave him, though allowed him to wipe her mind of their time together before doing so
